Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (MSIT), one of the pioneering Degree Engineering Colleges of Kolkata, is approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBUT. It began its journey on September 5, 2001, the very date when Teachers’ day is celebrated in India. Over the last 20 years, the College has created an enviable track record of imparting excellent education to the aspiring engineers and managers. Course Fees

Placement

Training and Placement Cell at MSIT is a well-established cell and conducts training activities for the final year students mainly focusing on Career planning, Personality Development Industry- Institute Interaction, off site training, guest lectures, Industrial visits, Campus placements, Entrepreneurship Development. In view of above Training and Placement Cell conducted various programs like Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, and Aptitude test etc to encourage students and to develop their skills. With a view to bridge the gap between industrial requirements and academic curriculum, experts from the various fields of engineering and management are invited to enable the students to know and understand the requirements of industries and accordingly prepare themselves for the future.

Faculty

The educational group has strong placement cell. Four placement officers under the chairmanship of the Institute’s director work as placement cell. Very effective Campus Interview is a regular feature of the institute.

Libarary

he Central Library -a proud partner in the institute's march towards its vision, plays a vital role in acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge. It has put in place policies and procedures, systems and services, and an ambience to facilitate acquisition of knowledge.

Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology’s Central Library is well-stocked, containing all the latest editions of the publications related to the curriculum; enabling the students to enhance their knowledge on different topics and subjects incorporated in their courses. The latest periodicals, journals and other publications are also provided for constant updation in the field of Science and Technology.

The Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of online database, books, journals, reports, etc. The Library has been using the LIBSYS, an integrated library management software package, with barcode technology

Hostel

The educational group has quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian food served in its canteens which include North Indian, South Indian, Eastern and Western Indian cuisine. Exclusive hostel facilities for boys and girls are provided which ensures total security and a strict discipline required for healthy living conditions.
